Our International Volunteers Went On A Great Adventure!

No matter how long you have been living in Northern Ireland, you’ll always be amazed by its nature.

Our international volunteers went on a trip around NI and became proper tourists for a few days! Stephen, one of our managers, shared incredible stories of all these places and surprised us with his historical knowledge!

Our international volunteers visited the next destinations:

  • Dark Hedges. ‘This beautiful avenue of beech trees was planted by the Stuart family in the eighteenth century.’
  • Torr Head. ‘The headland was important in the 1800s for recording the passage of transatlantic ships, relaying the information back to Lloyds of London.’
  • Ballycastle. ‘Ballycastle is a small town in County Antrim surrounded by glens, forests and ancient rocks.’

However, one day was not enough for us to explore the beauty of Ireland, so we decided to arrange a bike trip to Comber! Greenway is the easiest way to get there, and you will enjoy every mile you have managed to achieve! So if you have a bike but have never cycled in this area, go for it!

Share with us in the comments down below your favourite places and spots in Northern Ireland so that we could visit them next time!
