The Shipment!
Our last shipment reached Tanzania last February, therefore it’s time to get into action again! In the workshop we have been working for months to get ready for the big day, which is going to be September, 19th! By then:
- 400 sewing machines;
- 15 treadles;
- an huge number of sewing machines spare parts;
- 10 mechanic kits;
- 6 knitting machines;
- 8 industrial machines;
- bikes.
will be refurbished, sorted out, repaired and boxed up to make their way to Mwanza and Kigoma. Last year’s container will give you an idea of the work involved in this process.

Getting ready for the shipment is no joke, the volunteers are under constant pressure!
